DISCOVERY & INTERPRETATION

 

Students worked on discovering and understanding the challange. They carried out location visits, interviewed people, took photos and made videos to carry out their research phase. They went through techniques like journey mapping and brain storming.

IDEATION & EXPERIMENTATION

 

All teams did brain storming in figuring out the best possible solution out of hundreds of possibilities they found at initial stages. Then they converged their ideas into one best possible solution and developed that in form of tangible prototype.

EVALUATION

 

All the teams then tested their prototypes by presenting it in front of the customers and got their feed back.

DESIGN THINKING WORKSHOP 2013


A workshop was held in Design Thinking lab, Fatih University in collaboration with Koblenz Landau University, Germany in October 2013. 

 

Dr. Izebel and Danial from Koblenz were the menntors and cheif organizers included Dr. Nader Nada from Fatih University. They all focused on making the students well equipped with all the techniques and tools to solve their real life problems and issues. At the end of the event all participants were awarded certificates.

STARTUP WEEKEND ISTANBUL, 2014

 

STARTUP WEEKEND ISTANBUL was organized by Startup Bootcampand Startup Weekend at Bahcesehir University, Istanbul. Three of our students from Fatih University participated in different teams.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Initially they went through process of delivering Pitch and then top ten successful ideas were made in teams and they worked continuously for 54 hours bringing that idea into reality. They followed the following 3 steps; 

 

1. Making BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS

    Justifying Value proposition, Channels, Revenue streams, cost analysis, partners

 

2. CUSTOMER VALIDATION

    By using methodology of DESIGN THINKING using its techniques such as Journey mapping and mind mapping.

 

3. Making MINIMUM VALUABLE PRODUCT

    Making the prototype.
